***Note: I have yet to post the entire platform, but here it is in it's entirety. I may make some modifications over the next week, but this is the basic premise. I will be announcing my cabinet on the 3rd. Thank you so much for your consideration.***

Clean Campaign Disclaimer: I plan on running a 100% clean campaign. Any ads making irresponsible or irrelevant claims, or any information that includes "low-blow" politics is not associated with me, my team, or my campaign. While I may point out how I feel my platform is superior to my opponents, I will always remain respectful and neither I nor my team will drag any of my opponents' names through the mud. This is a promise.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Dade Pendwyn for Prime Minister

Ever since I joined eRepublik during the V1 boom, I have had an unwavering reverence and respect for the highest political position attainable, and I have always dreamt of making a lasting positive mark on eCanadian history through being elected Prime Minister. On June 5th, a nearly 500 day journey will reach its culmination: I will be running for the position of eCanadian President for the June term. I promise, if elected, to follow through on the cornerstones of my proceeding platform, and I vow to treat the position of Prime Minister with the respect and devotion it deserves. I will give every eCanadian citizen a leader they can be proud of.

My platform consists of something for everybody, and I hope to make it easily accessible for you, the reader, to determine how I plan to govern the aspects of the game you value most.

Each aspect of my platform fits into one of 4 corners around which I am basing the heart of my campaign, and it follows an easy to remember acronym for us thirsty folk.

Community: Through existing, modified, and new initiatives I want to harbour a sense of national community in eCanada.

Opportunity: In a Dade-led eCanada, opportunities for success will exist for both young and old, rich and poor, high-strength and still-working-on-it.

Leadership: When you vote for Dade Pendwyn, you are voting for a leader. Not an iron-fisted dictator, nor a soft-willed pushover, but a confident, enabled spokesperson who assembles a trustworthy team and works in coalition with peers towards a common goal.

Accountability: In the eCanada I envision, there will be a system in place where everyone can feel confident that their taxpayers dollars are accounted for, and that the members of their government are accountable for their actions.

Throughout my platform I will explain how each aspect of my campaign applies to COLA.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Community

Promoting eCanadian Wiki Pages: Part of my dedication to acknowledging eCanadian history will be designating a Minister of Heritage who will work in the Ministry of Communication Department. A large part of his job will be working with the WHO of the eCWRA. If all these acronyms are scaring you, fear not. The WHO is essentially the organizer of the eCWRA (eCanada Wiki Responbility Act), which is an initiative passed by congress to pay citizens to create and maintain important eRepublik-wiki pages. This way an up-to-date compendium of our colourful past is available to all citizens, and it's a great way for eCanadian history buffs to have a few extra dollars in their pocket for all their hard work.

Celebrating eCanadian Heritage: Another job of the Minister of Heritage will be to scour the hallowed corridors of eCanada's journalistic past and to post meaningful articles from the old days of the New World in the National Newspaper. They will be called "Heritage Minutes", in homage to the commercial spots we often see on the CBC, and will be an avenue for everyday eCanadians to learn about and treasure our fantastic history.

Regular Updates From The Top: As former and current Minister of Communication, the media plays an important role in my vision for eCanada. This means I will have my MoC give regular updates on the progress of your administration, and I will also make Presidential Addresses whenever possible so I can get a better idea of the wants and needs of my citizens.

Creating eBabies: eBabies are without a doubt the game's most valuable resource, yet time after time attempts at creating tangible "Baby Booms" have fallen by the way-side. Recently the Ministry of Immigration has done a fantastic job pulling in immigrants from other nations, and under my administration this would continue. However, in addition to this, I want to bolster our population with brand new players. The way I intend to do this is to allow eCanadian citizens as a whole to use their creative juices: instead of the government coming up with the ideas, the people will come up with the ideas, while the government will provide the incentives for doing so. Details still need to be hammered out, but my idea is to offer monetary rewards for citizens who come up with ways to pull non-players into the game. An example of this is perhaps creating a youtube video (as this has inspired baby-booms in the past), and offering 0.1 CAD per view. If a well made video pulled in 5,000 views and inspired even just 150 new players, the cost to eCanada would be only 0.1g per new citizen - an absolutely fantastic return on the investment.

Bridging the Gap Between French and English Canada: The French-eCanadian community has often been neglected by the Executive Branch. Though I am unfortunately not bilingual, I want my government to be influenced by all members of the country. Under my administration I will employ a Quebecois Liaison Officer who I hope can improve relations between all eCanadians. Additionally, this Liaison Officer will help be the voice of French-eCanadians in the Executive, and will help with translations when possible.

Mentoring Our eBabies: If we're putting this much effort into getting eBabies to help eCanada's cause, we should be putting an equal amount of effort into keeping them. AngryMobMan has a good thing going with the Education Discovery Panel, and I wish to continue this. I would, however, also like to bring back and rejuvenate the mentorship program. As an eBaby, life in the New World can be confusing - pairing up these brand new citizens with knowledgeable Field Marshals (or otherwise experienced citizens) will serve many purposes: 1) To ensure they do not quit the game out of frustration or confusion; 2) They have initial contacts and friends upon which to build from; 3) They will more quickly become valuable and experienced members of eCanadian society. I believe so strongly in the mentorship concept that if elected I will put a link for them to immediately apply for a mentor in the Welcome Message.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Opportunity

Fair War Bonds Program: Back during the first issuance of War Bonds during Nea Milosu's term, I pointed out that half the available bonds had been gobbled up by two rich eCanadians, and that this was the main reason they sold out within hours and left the average eCanadian without a chance to benefit from them. Now we have legislation in place to ensure that this can never happen again, and that bonds will be evenly spread out so that all eCanadians have a chance to profit from their sale. As President I promise I will make certain that this legislation is being stringently followed each time bonds are issued.

Diverse Representation in Cabinet: Though I haven't announced my cabinet yet, I can make several promises: 1) Each of the top 5 parties will have at least one member represented as one of the major ministers, 2) There will be at least two francophone citizens occupying positions; 3) It will include both citizens young and old, and will strike a good balance between enthusiasm and experience.

Expanding the CAF: Plans to expand the CAF have already begun, and I fully intend to follow through on this. This will give more eCanadians the chance to fight and serve their country. This, like other initatives of mine, includes continual contact and communication with the CAF.

No Tanking Without Full CAF Supplies: Recently there was a case of gold being spent on tanking when not all CAF soldiers were supplied. Under my administration, tanking will never take place unless every single CAF soldier has been supplied. This is because 1) it allows our younger citizens to grow in rank and 2) we actually receive more damage from using 80g for 800 Q1 guns than we would for using that money on a measly 40 wellness packs.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Leadership

The People's Prime Minister: Too often in eCanada's past I've seen our leaders go against the will of the people. If elected I will provide you with a strong leader with an established vision, but I will never lose sight of the people who put me in the position to act on those visions. The Prime Minister is a conduit for the kind of action the people want to see. If elected you can be assured that I will know my place: 6500 citizens are the boss of me, I am not the boss of 6500 citizens.

Many Heads are Better Than One: Part of being the leader eCanada needs is assembling a proper team and valuing their input. In many cases there will be positions under my Ministers which will need to be filled. I will not reach over the backs of my Ministers and micro-manage their affairs: they will be the best of the best and for me to undermine their work by administering every single detail will only discourage progerss. I will not be a dictatorial Prime Minister: I insist that myself, cabinet, and congress all work together and lead as a team.

Better Consultation with the Army: I'm not here to dwell on what's already happened or to point fingers, but it should be known that more than once eCanada has found itself in a bad situation because the Prime Minister didn't properly consult with the Army before making a decision which hinged on the CAF. As President I will always be in close touch with Coda, Ramizeth and other top CAF officials - I vow to never make an ill-informed decision when it comes to my country's military.

A Stronger Voice in EDEN: Recently there has been grumbling that we are disrespected by EDEN and that we are nothing more than their puppet. This is nothing but garbage spread by Phoenix blowhards who are trying to drive a wedge in between eCanada and EDEN and to weaken that relationship. In fact, I recently wrote an article in the Voice of EDEN showing our dedication to EDEN. As the owners of two future titanium regions, eCanada is a major player in the world and we will be for the forseeable future. EDEN knows this, and as Prime Minister I will ensure that they always know this. I want eCanada to have a stronger role in EDEN: not because they don't respect us, but because we will never get something unless we ask for it. The members of EDEN are our friends and allies, and we have everything to gain by improving our relationships with them.

Continuation of our Brolliance Influence: Currently we are one of two major players in the Brolliance, while we at the same time maintain cordial relationships with EDEN. This position is of increasingly greater importance, as we serve as the common country between the two largest non-Phoenix alliances. eCanada's fate is inextricably intertwined with that of the eUSA's, so I will take great lengths to make sure we remain on extremely positive terms with them, as well as all our fellow Bros.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Accountability

Improved Financial Transparency: Part of the Ministry of Finance's duties will be tracking every taxpayer penny to its final destination. Of course, I will require that the MoF hire out these duties as they are a time consuming, yet incredibly important, job. However, with many eyes and hands it will be far less work. Part of this financial transparency will be having a CAF auditor who can report to either executive or congress on how funding is being distributed in the CAF. Having an internal CAF auditor is an idea I know the Army brass has thrown around before, and if elected I would bring it up with Coda again to gain her opinion.

Crime and Punishment: Recently there have been arguments over what kind of power the Supreme Court should have. Obviously they've hinged more or less on the discussion of the 4000 CAD theft by TemujiunBC. There are two aspects of eRepublik: roleplay and gameplay. They are forever entwined, and it's difficult to know where one begins and the other ends. If there was no role-play, congress could vote to raise VAT to 50% and split the money between themselves - no in-game rules would stop them. Role-play plays an important part in government, and in the ethics of all 3 branches of government. To completely neglect role-play is a mistake, and to completely neglect in-game mechanics is also a mistake. My mandate as Prime Minister will be to balance the power of the Supreme Court appropriately between in-game mechanics and role-play.

Being Accountable for Success: Far too often the everyday hard work of average eCanadians goes unnoticed. In conjunction with my Minister of Communication I want to make the toil of our hardest working citizens known. An example of this would be mentioning in a Presidential Address the continued good work of a certain Supply Officer (who by the way have one of the hardest and most thankless jobs around), or announcing a particularly dedicated effort by a low-ranking soldier in an important battle. It's about time eCanadians became accountable for their successes!

This is my DAL Primary platform. If I gain the support of my fellow party members I will be expanding on this platform, as well as announcing my cabinet.

I give you my word that if the DAL puts its support behind me, I will make you proud.

Thank you for your consideration,
